"Administer Justice for the needy" (Proverbs 31:8-9) - Show Notes

Proverbs 31: 8-9 “Open your mouth for the dumb those unable to speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are left desolate and defenseless. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and administer justice for the poor and needy”

Lesson: Know that we’re all connected. In Christ, we’re all a part of the same body. There is no greek or jew, slave or free, male or female because we’re all one in Christ. (Galatians 3:28)

We should use our voices for each other, for those less fortunate than us. Don’t think that it’s not your duty to speak up because you “don’t relate” or haven’t experienced it personally. That’s why we’re called to clothe ourselves with compassion and to love one another. Think of others as better than ourselves, if we put ourselves in the shoes of someone in a less than fortunate situation how would we want someone to fight for us or defend us? We need to recognize the position and power we have and use it wisely.

Tip for Men- Besides the lesson which applies to both men and women I would say look for a woman who shows kindness and cares for others and those in need which we’ll also see later on in Proverbs 31.

Tip for Women- The verses we read in 8-9 show good leadership and a good quality to look for in men. Watch how a man speaks about others and how he’s using his tongue.
